So, I had no choice but to grab my favorite Staedtler Triplus Fineliner black pen and a stack of paper and get down to business. It generates a plethora of solutions to your project, and I find it the most effective for finding bits and pieces of a solution to later combine.
Evaluation of Snapchat User Experience in Android for Different Age Groups – Jimena HeVa
For their paper to be presented at ACM CSCW , the Cornell researchers conducted an interview study with college students and found that Snapchat, because of its ephemeral design, encourages certain conversations between users that are mundane but also intensely personal. Snapchat is designed around the idea of auto-deletion. If the receiver takes a screenshot of the message, Snapchat sends a notification to the sender alerting him or her of the action. Users of Snapchat report that Snapchat friends are particularly close to the sender or people of romantic interest, while Facebook friends tend to be more casual acquaintances. The idea of sharing relevant information that disappears after a certain amount of time with only a select group of people is seldom used in social media applications. Especially in the case of Facebook, not only is content permanent, but there is no differentiation between which friends can view what content. First, auto-deletion of content and a small friend base through the app allow users to be less-self conscious in their messages, sharing what they are actually feeling or thinking without worrying about unintended audiences.
Snapchat | UX Case Study
Writing case studies for your UX portfolio can feel opaque and overwhelming. There are so many examples out there, and often the ones that make the rounds are the stunning portfolios of top visual designers. At the core, a UX case study relies on excellent storytelling with a clear, understandable structure.
Nobody can critique a user experience quite like a UX designer, but video game enthusiasts certainly get close. After all, game designers are a specialised breed of UXer, one with the unique challenge of making user experiences more than just usable — they have to be fun. However, because my manager still adamantly refuses to let me play Super Mario Odyssey on company time, I resorted to the same failsafe strategy employed by any kid who needed to convince authority a video game was actually good: claim it was educational.
